OCSiAl launches world’s largest graphene nanotube production
NOVOSIBIRSK, Feb 11 (PRIME) -- OSCiAl, a spin-off of a portfolio company of Russian state nanotechnology company Rusnano, has launched Graphetron 50, the world’s largest facility for synthesis of graphene nanotubes with a capacity of 50 tonnes per year, according tothe information obtained by PRIME during the launch ceremony on Tuesday.
“The 50-tonne facility was launched today. We understand well that no other company on Earth can produce at least 1 tonne. Today OSCiAl is a supplier of 75% of the largest technological companies of the world, which, unfortunately, prohibit us from naming them,” Rusnano CEO Anatoly Chubais said at the launch ceremony.
OSCiAl President Yury Koropachinsky said that the company was certified as a supplier for technological giants like LG and Pirelli last year.
